Landscape work  - the development of a lake and Special Ponds

Watch this space for ideas and ongoing landscaping projects around Somerset.

Creating a waterfall and pond................... this has yet to be planted but the beauty of the formation and the colours of the rocks make this a wonderful feature.

Large lake being created in Crewkerne Creating the pond

Crewkerne- The Lake

The Pond is created with shelves to enable natural planting for the marginals.

Large Natural Pond

Some sections were overlaid with Turf, others left for natural indigenous species to colonise. Wildflowers and grasses can be planted to speed the natural process.

Large Pond 17 metres X 11 metres, natural edging, planted with Bulrushes
This pond uses a liner and a series of smaller pools and reservoirs to allow the water to cascade from the waterfalls into the main pool. Planting is with marginals and various oxygenating species to keep the water clear and sparkling.

Smaller Projects - clients can choose to have just sections of work done at any one time, and/or complete areas themselves, eg. planting or other tasks that you may feel you would like to do yourselves. My ideas are always flexible to your needs and aspirations.

Some Lawns

Yeovil Somerset - New House New Garden

A New Garden, created from a muddy plot - designed to accommodate both family members and animals!! The planting will soften the outlines, and the plants are safe from the animals.

Garden design - basic plan

Landscape for the small garden, using stone, decking and gravel.

Awkward spaces can be turned into calm havens, incorporating your personality.

Difficult areas can be managed, and become places to treasure, low maintenance gravel areas, easy to keep weed free, low walls and paths to add interest even to the tiny garden.
