Welcome to my web site!Email - DJSPGibson@aol.comThe aim of this web site is to give you some insight into what we, as professional, qualified, Landscapers can achieve both for you, and with you. My name is Steve Gibson, I have a Diploma in Horticulture from Cannington College in Somerset and have been working in Landscaping for several years. More about me? Landscapers and gardeners have ideas and can help in both small individual projects, and large scale projects, but the garden is living, it needs to breath and grow with the owner, it needs to change and adapt as needs change and adapt.
Decking with a formal Koi Pond. We can show you some of the projects with which we have been involved and you can choose the parts you like, and discard the other parts. We can design a new garden for you, from a small Town garden to the larger country or formal projects. The garden has become an important space for families, couples and singles over the last few years. We have watched Ground Force, the Flying Gardener, Gardeners world, ER and Garden Rivals. They all seek fame and glory on the TV, aiming to show their designs and amazing feats of new gardens in minutes appearing as if by the wave of a magic wand.
In my experience Gardens rarely appear by waving a wand, they come about though consultation and design, listening to the needs of the owner and working alongside to develop and grow the dreams and aspirations of each individual
Gardens are a way of showing your personality, of impressing your friends and relations.
They can be relaxing, stimulating or both. They should seek to appeal to the senses, to become a haven, to be interesting and always evolving. The garden that is right for a family, may be different again for an older person, always they change and develop, that is what makes them such an intriguing topic.
Look at the Photos and Projects section of the website to give you some idea of the projects with which I have been involved. Using a mixture of gravel and stones can enhance the appearance of both plants and hard landscaping areas. This was a tiny new garden, solid clay and builders rubble formed the 'soil'. We took most of this away, laid a small lawn for the toddler to run about, an area for a BBQ and a table, the patio has been placed at an angle to maximize the available space, and make best use of the sun. The design is simple, the materials inexpensive. It has been designed with a young child in mind, she can use the hard area for her trike and to stand her sand trolley, the grass to sit and explore the texture. The flower beds she can enjoy and plant. The adults can enjoy a glass of wine! Some rich bold planting has given a feeling of maturity to this brand new garden. This effect has been achieved on a tight budget, it will add value to any home as well as enriching the lifestyle of the owner. |
